Position Title: Behavior Intervention Specialist/TOA
Division: Curriculum
Work Year: 9 Months
Department: ESP
Location: CES
Salary Schedule: Teacher

Responsibilities
  • Observe students in classrooms, collect data, and recommend Functional Behavior Assessments.
  • Participate in IEP teams to conduct assessments and develop behavior plans, documenting student behavior levels.
  • Consult with staff and recommend strategies for behavior plans.
  • Provide inservice training on positive behavior strategies.
  • Act as a resource for staff on classroom modifications and behavior interventions.
  • Communicate with parents about student behavior and progress.
  • Collaborate with intervention teams on training and program development.
  • Maintain logs of contacts, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree required.
  • Certification in Special Education, School Psychology, or Social Work.
  • Minimum three years experience working with high school students with challenging behaviors.
  • Skills in conducting assessments and developing behavior plans.
  • Ability to manage problem behaviors and train staff.
Supervision

Supervised directly by the Principal and indirectly by the Director, Exceptional Student Programs. No supervisory responsibilities over staff.
