Position Overview

This position involves supporting the instructional process as a Teacher (Regular Education), responsible for supervising students, developing lesson plans, delivering instruction within curriculum guidelines, collaborating with staff, and communicating with parents regarding student progress.

Reporting Line

This role reports to the Principal.

Essential Functions
  1. Plan and execute instructional programs in accordance with school policies and regulations.
  2. Manage classroom operations and student supervision.
  3. Implement diverse teaching methods to meet student needs.
  4. Create and evaluate assessments to monitor student progress and develop individual learning plans.
  5. Assess student performance and ensure a safe, positive learning environment.
  6. Provide academic and behavioral counseling to students.
  7. Manage classroom behavior to ensure safety and effective learning.
  8. Collaborate with staff, parents, and community resources to support student success.
  9. Support colleagues in curriculum implementation and student planning.
  10. Supervise assistant teachers, student teachers, and volunteers.
  11. Communicate student progress to parents and guardians.
  12. Respond to inquiries and provide information to stakeholders.
  13. Maintain records and documentation of student progress and activities.
  14. Participate in meetings and professional development.
  15. Report incidents and respond to emergencies to ensure safety.
