Middle School Teacher

KIPP Miami seeks motivated teachers with a proven record of developing future leaders. Passion for education and strong relationship-building skills are essential to foster student achievement. Dedication to student success, especially through mathematics, is highly valued.

Content areas of expertise include:

  • Physical Science

Responsibilities include:

  • Create, adapt, and prepare lesson plans aligned with the curriculum, collaborating with the grade-level team
  • Use data to inform instruction and promote mastery of skills
  • Work closely with students, families, and colleagues to support student progress
  • Implement classroom management techniques and establish a positive learning environment
  • Assist with diagnostic and progress monitoring assessments
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Maintain student performance records and use data to inform lesson planning
  • Participate in meetings and school events, both during and outside regular hours

Must Haves:

  • Belief in every student's potential
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (official transcripts required prior to employment)
  • State-approved teaching certification or in process
  • At least two years of teaching experience with diverse student populations
  • Proven success in the classroom
  • Collaborative attitude towards teaching and learning

KIPP Miami offers competitive salaries starting at $55,000 for first-year teachers, with additional compensation based on performance and leadership roles. Benefits include health care, a 403(B) plan, and a school laptop.
