QUALIFICATIONS:

Missouri Teacher Certification

REPORTS TO:

Building Principal/Athletic Director/Head Coach

SUPERVISES:

60 student athletes

JOB GOAL:

To support the head coach and to provide a learning environment for athletes to improve their skills.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coach individual student athletes in the skills necessary for excellence in the chosen sport.
2. Assist head coach in planning and scheduling practices during the season.
3. Assist head coach in maintaining necessary paperwork.
4. Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behaviors at all times and establish penalties for breaches of these standards by students.
5. Assist head coach in organizing clinics and camps when appropriate.
6. Assist, organize, and oversee off-season conditioning.
7. Attend and participate in clinics to enhance knowledge and improve the program.

DURATION OF POSITION:

School year plus some summer activities
