Position Summary
Teachers (4116.31)
- Instruct students to the best of their ability within the curriculum plan adopted by the Board, utilizing resources from the Division of Instructional Services and their principal for continual improvement.
- Participate actively in committees related to planning, research, curriculum, public relations, or other professional activities within the school or district. Attend faculty meetings as part of their responsibilities.
- Exercise proper supervision over furniture, books, supplies, and equipment; instruct students on proper use; report any damages or abuses promptly.
- Maintain classroom control to foster the best learning environment, seeking principal assistance when necessary.
- Manage and supervise all students, with possible assignments outside the classroom by the principal.
- Open and close school sessions punctually as scheduled by the Board.
- Enforce the rules and regulations of the Board within their jurisdiction.
- Observe students for issues hindering progress and report findings to the principal.
- Prepare lesson plans, records, and reports as required.
- Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with parents for the benefit of students.
