Job description

NOTE: This position is for the 2025-2026 school year. The salary will be based on the 2025-2026 salary schedule which is not yet approved by the Board of Education. The salary listed is based on the current year's salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Missouri Teacher Certification or Substitute Teacher Certification

REPORTS TO:
Building Principal/Athletic Director/Head Coach

SUPERVISES:
33-38 student athletes

JOB GOAL:
To support the head coach and to provide a learning environment for athletes to improve their skills.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coach individual student athletes in the skills necessary for excellence in chosen sport.
  2. Assist head coach in planning and scheduling practices in season.
  3. Assist head coach in maintaining necessary paperwork.
  4. Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and establish and oversee penalties for breaches of such standards by individual students.
  5. Assist head coach in organizing clinics and camps when appropriate.
  6. Assist, organize and oversee off-season conditioning.
  7. Attend/participate in clinics to enhance knowledge and improve program.

DURATION OF POSITION:
August - October
