An established industry player is seeking a dedicated therapist to join a dynamic family intervention unit. Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Family Guidance Service Coordinator, this therapist is a member of a large, team-oriented, intensive family intervention unit that works with children who have a Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) and their families. Services include family therapy, individual therapy, and case management in family homes and community locations for a caseload of between 12-15. The position includes many opportunities for rich training and potential opportunities to train in a variety of evidenced-based treatments while receiving weekly supervision, participating in engaging clinical teams, and working in a strength-based culture that values wellness, creativity, and intensity. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies, and procedures. Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field is required or must be obtained within 60 days of application. Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required or must have applied for and be able to obtain within 60 days of hire. One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional) in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of children and adolescents with Severe Emotional Disturbance and their families is required or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience with children with SED and families is required. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Candidate must be able to work well with others. Candidate will be expected to work some evening hours. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, undergoing and passing a Central Registry Screening, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $58,843-$66,788 annually with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of $77,230. 40 hours per week, some evening hours.
