Summary

Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer Apprentice who will be responsible for learning the trade while assisting with preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.

Responsibilities

1. Load and unload equipment
2. Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging
3. Level ground for scaffolding
4. Tend motor and grout
5. Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets
6. General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debris
7. Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
8. Vibrate concrete
9. Build positive relationships with team members of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
10. All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Enrolled in Apprentice Aptitude Program
2. Experience in construction preferred
3. Ability to work with tools and equipment, such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies
4. Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude; professional customer service skills; detail-oriented; active listening and effective communication skills; openness to feedback
5. Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
6. *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.
7. Note: duties may change without notice. Lifting over 50 lbs requires assistance or equipment.

Pay Range: $28.51 - $45.15 depending on union classification
