Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a Part-time Patient Safety Assistant for the Emergency Department. The role supports patient safety through constant observation, rapid response to calls, and coordination with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or enrollment in Health Sciences program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.
• De-escalation training completed during orientation or within unit-based training.

Responsibilities

• Direct and continuous observation of patient within arm's length.
• Participate in patient rounding as directed by RN.
• Ensure environmental safety for patients.
• Answer call lights and route care issues to RN.
• Restock supplies and ammunition stations as needed.
• Transport patients within the department and to in-hospital locations.

There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving.**Pay Range:**$17.69 - $28.22This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
