American Packaging Corporation seeks a Manufacturing Manager to lead the printing and finishing departments. You will coordinate production, drive cost control, quality and schedule adherence, and use resources efficiently.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent; 5–7 years related experience.
• Ability to supervise up to 80+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Manages Shift Supervisors.
• Coordinates printing and finishing operations 24 hours/7 days.
• Assembles and presents operation reviews monthly/quarterly to Manufacturing Manager and Supervisors.
• Participates in manufacturing recruiting efforts including interviewing candidates and making hiring recommendations.
• Heavily involved in technical improvements to refine internal methods and increase efficiency.
• Monitors daily production output against standards in run times, waste, downtime and due dates.
• Establishes action plans and timelines for quality, safety and service improvements.
• Provides root cause/corrective action analysis for the Press Department.
• Acts as active team leader for safety, waste and SMED initiatives.
• Improves safety procedures in the Press Department.
• Contributes to new product development in manufacturing.
• Travels to meetings with vendors or customers as needed.
• Member of the Division Leadership Team with responsibilities for SQF food safety objectives.
