Job summary

CCL Industries Inc. is seeking a Plant Controller to provide financial leadership for a 24/7 manufacturing facility.

The role partners with Plant Management and Corporate Finance to deliver accurate reporting, cost control, budgeting, and forecasting while analyzing production performance, material usage, labor, inventory, scrap, downtime, and capital investment. The successful candidate will work across shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin or related discipline.
• Approximately 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience, preferably manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of accounting controls and manufacturing cost accounting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Ability to explain financial conclusions to non-financial managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Ensure timely month-, quarter-, and year-end closes.
• Prepare and analyze plant financial statements and results.
• Maintain reconciliations, accruals, and supporting documentation.
• Investigate variances and take corrective action.
• Provide meaningful financial analysis to plant leadership.
• Support audits, internal controls, and corporate finance initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality on cost issues.
• Translate plant performance into actionable financial insight.
