Job summary

NIPRO PHARMAPACKAGING AMERICAS CORPORATION is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead a unionized production team at our Millville, NJ facility on a 24/7 rotating shift. You will ensure safety, quality, and productivity by coordinating personnel, addressing production challenges, and maintaining open shift handoffs.

Responsibilities include scheduling, payroll processing, performance reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with Production and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate degree or some college coursework preferred.
• 2–4 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably with a union workforce.
• Experience in glass manufacturing or similar industrial setting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates daily activities of the production workforce to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Promotes teamwork, communication, and accountability across shifts.
• Communicates with supervisors to ensure seamless hand-offs and operational continuity.
• Collaborates with Production and Quality teams to prioritize goals and resolve issues.
• Acts as first line of response for safety incidents, equipment breakdowns, and workforce challenges.
• Manages daily and long-term scheduling, attendance, and payroll records.
• Conducts employee performance evaluations and supports cross-training.
• Handles employee relations through coaching and conflict resolution.
• Ensures compliance with safety, health, environmental, and ISO procedures.
