Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in public affairs, public relations, or corporate communications.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• U.S. citizenship; fluent English; ability to communicate with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Draft, research, and coordinate responses to media inquiries and develop press releases, talking points, and response-to-query products.
• Conduct real-time monitoring and analysis of global media coverage; identify breaking news affecting CENTCOM.
• Provide rapid-response media analysis and recommended talking points to counter misinformation.
• Develop and disseminate Flash Reports within 60 minutes of significant events.
• Prepare senior leaders for media engagements and conduct media training.
• Deliver daily media monitoring reports and news clips before 0800 EST; support 24/7 surge operations.
