Job summary

GridCARE, Inc. is hiring for a Health-scale Power Operations Desk Operator in Johnson City, TN. You will staff a 24/7 desk that monitors data center loads, on-site generation, and grid conditions in real time, executing curtailment and dispatch actions to stay within interconnection agreements.

This role offers progression from early-career to senior operator levels, with pay aligned to experience and a strong emphasis on procedures, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with SCADA/EMS and alarm systems is preferred.
• Interest in the power grid and working in a 24/7 control-room environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time telemetry across data center sites and interconnection assets.
• Execute dispatch and curtailment instructions from utilities within response windows.
• Follow and improve procedures, document actions in the shift log.
• Coordinate with utility control centers and site teams during normal and abnormal conditions.
• Identify alarms and data quality issues; troubleshoot with field and software teams.
