Job summary

EOS IT Solutions is seeking a Data Center Repair Technician to support 24/7/365 operations across multiple local sites. The role focuses on physical repair of data center hardware including servers, switches, and routers, with involvement in installation and ongoing maintenance.

The position requires travel to various sites, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a technical diploma or certification in electronics or computer hardware. Benefits include health, PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in electronics, computer hardware, or related field.
• Proven track record of repairing IT/network hardware in a data center.
• Familiarity with Cisco/Juniper/Arista hardware and x86 servers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on repairs and replacement of defective hardware components in data center equipment.
• Manage the lifecycle of hardware components from installation to decommissioning.
• Conduct physical inspections and routine maintenance on data center equipment.
• Oversee inventory management of spare parts and components.
• Coordinate replacement activities with technical teams to minimize downtime.
• Document repair activities and maintain maintenance logs and configurations.
• Perform basic physical layer troubleshooting including cable testing.
• Assist in new hardware installations and physical setup of network/server infrastructure.
• Participate in emergency response teams for urgent hardware issues.
