Job summary

WinCo Foods is hiring at our San Tan Valley location to provide friendly, efficient service at our checkout and customer service areas. The role supports self-checkout and traditional lanes, processing transactions with accuracy and courtesy.

Positions require flexibility for varied shifts in a 24/7 environment, with emphasis on customer satisfaction and teamwork. Training will cover safety, product knowledge and cash handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Varied shifts in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Provide friendly, courteous customer service and engage with customers.
• Communicate effectively (hearing and speech) to perform customer relations tasks.
• Complete written forms as required.
• Conduct visual inspection and read product information.

Responsibilities

• Operate check stand equipment (cash register, scanner, scale) to process orders.
• Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
• Handle transactions including cash, checks, gift certificates, and refunds; follow cash handling policies.
• Maintain knowledge of product locations, pricing, and UPC codes.
• Keep check stands clean, stocked and safe.
