Job summary

TEGNA’s broadcast hub in Charlotte, NC seeks a Broadcast Hub Operator to join a dedicated team responsible for live operation, monitoring and 24x7 support of multiple stations in a centralized environment. The role requires readiness to work onsite and a BA/BS or equivalent experience.

The successful candidate will ensure on-air integrity, troubleshoot issues across feeds and automation systems, and provide rapid response in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of television production and broadcast operations.
• Proficient in Excel and the Microsoft O365 suite.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve broadcast issues.
• Strong organization and time management; willingness to work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manipulate on-air playlists and execute changes.
• Ingest and quality control of broadcast materials into automation systems.
• Manage commercial integration during taped and live programming.
• Monitor continuity and availability of multiple channel streams.
• Act as first line responder for internal clients and recover from discrepancies.
