Job summary

Qatar Airways is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic for our JFK operations in New York. You will deliver maintenance services, work under supervision of the Station Maintenance Manager, and perform tasks per approved maintenance data and procedures.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance and at least five years on modern jet aircraft such as A350, A380, B777, and B787, with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Degree/ Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent.
• Minimum five years on modern jet aircraft.
• Experience with A350, A380, B777 (Pax/Freighter) and B787.
• Ability to work independently and in high-volume, 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Advise Duty Engineer and ensure accurate technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
• Verify tools are serviceable before use and inspect aircraft/components for cracks or leaks.
• Perform line maintenance and support AOG incidents as required.
• Travel to stations for aircraft recovery and maintain line stores.
