Job summary

Sunliner Diner in Orange Beach, AL is seeking friendly, upbeat, and service-minded individuals to join our team as Bussers. This role supports the front-of-house by keeping dining areas clean and organized, aiding servers, and ensuring a positive guest experience.

The Busser helps maintain a smooth running floor, clears and resets tables, transports dishes, and upholds health and safety guidelines in a high-energy, retro-inspired diner environment.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently between guests.
• Remove dirty dishes, utensils, and glassware from tables and transport them to the dishwashing area.
• Arrange tables and chairs upon guest’s departure.
• Sweeps around and under each table/chair upon guests’ departure.
• Cleans highchairs and booster seats. Remove seats from tables when not in use.
• Cleans handrails and steps on a regular basis. Ensures areas are free of hazards.
• Completes all opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.
• Refill water glasses and assist servers with beverage or food delivery when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining room, including floors, chairs, and service stations.
• Set tables with proper utensils, napkins, and other necessary items.
• Restock server stations with supplies such as silverware, napkins, condiments, and glassware.
• Support servers by responding promptly to guest needs and special requests.
• Follow all health, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
