Job summary

Thrive USA Home Care Services in Maryland, DC, Florida, and Tennessee seeks a compassionate Home Health Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant to support veterans and others in their homes.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor health, administer medications per care plans, prepare meals, and help with safe transfers, while maintaining HIPAA privacy.

This in-person role offers 10–40 hours weekly with pay of $21–22 per hour and opportunities to grow within a veteran-focused team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, memory care, and hospice care practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling tasks using proper patient transfer methods.
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and care plan documentation.
• Valid certifications in First Aid and CPR

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Monitor clients' health status by observing vital signs and overall condition, reporting changes promptly.
• Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption if necessary.
• Facilitate safe patient transfers using proper manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of client spaces.
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings to promote independence and engagement
