Job summary

AMD invites ambitious Electrical/Computer Engineering undergrads to join our Hardware team as interns or co-ops. You will collaborate with engineers on AMD’s discrete and embedded hardware products and gain hands-on experience building applications for both external and internal use, as well as scaling systems to improve efficiency.

We value knowledge in C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, and Python, plus interest in ASIC design/verification and ML/AI.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a US-based university as an undergrad in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge/experience with C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, Python, MATLAB is a plus.
• Interest in ASIC design/verification, ML/AI, and pre/post-silicon platforms.

• Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co‑op/intern term

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Do you want to help improve experiences of groundbreaking AMD products? If so, AMD Hardware team is the right place for you. We are seeking highly motivated Hardware Engineering intern/co‑op and in this role:

• You will collaborate with Engineers and be responsible for some of AMD’s discrete and embedded hardware products.
• We will train you to build applications for external and internal use as well as large scale systems that improve the efficiency of AMD Hardware organization.

WHOWEARELOOKINGFOR:

• You are currently enrolled in a US based University into a Undergrad program majoring in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or a related field.
• If you have knowledge / experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply –
• C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, Python, Perl, Spice, Ruby, Chrome OS, MATLAB.
