Job summary

Macquarie Group in the United States is seeking a ten-week Technology Internship to help build platforms, connect people and data, and design tomorrow’s technology solutions. You’ll contribute to Commodities and Global Markets Technology, in roles spanning Application Development and Solution Architecture and Engineering.

You will gain practical experience, receive technical training, and be paired with a mentor while completing a project presented to senior management at program end.

As an intern in Technology, you’ll help us connect people and data, build platforms and applications, and design tomorrow’s technology solutions.

Role In this role, you will build technology solutions for the benefit of our people, customers and communities. Feel empowered to shape what’s possible for your career through a direct placement based on your interests and our business need in one of the following areas:

Commodities and Global Markets Technology

closely partners with our dynamic commodities and market finance business. Within Commodities and Global Markets tech you will have the opportunity to work in either the Application Developer or Solution Architecture and Engineering teams.

• Application Development designs, develops, and implements service-oriented applications. You’ll work to support our teams who are modernizing our existing software stack using the latest technologies and cloud capabilities that will enable our businesses to expand and grow into new markets.
• Solution Architecture and Engineering designs and deploys critical infrastructure used to support the technological evolution of the organization. You will help to deliver cutting-edge cloud platforms including containers and serverless, in support of our global businesses and the demand for cloud-native applications and technologies.

• Complete meaningful and challenging work allowing you to gain practical experience to tie into your theoretical knowledge from school.
• Take part in an orientation where you’ll learn about Macquarie’s business groups with your fellow Macquarie interns and receive technical training.

• Present a project you worked on during the program to senior management.
