• Ability to relocate to Bakersfield, CA for the duration of the internship.

Responsabilidades

• Researching vendors and suppliers by gathering information about cost, lead times, and other considerations that support sourcing decisions.

The A-C Electric Company InternshipExperience Program gives students a hands-on, structured opportunityto learn how procurement and supply chain teams support electricalconstruction. During this 10-week internship, you’ll work alongsidepurchasing and project management teams as they source, manage, anddeliver the materials and equipment needed for active constructionprojects. You’ll gain exposure to vendor relationships, inventorymanagement, cost control, and supply chain processes while buildingprofessional skills through mentorship, networking, and structuredlearning experiences.

What You’ll Do

As a Supply Chain Intern, your keyresponsibilities will be:

• Supporting project purchasing by helping sourcematerials, tools, and equipment for active electricalconstruction projects.
• Researching vendors and suppliers by gatheringinformation about cost, quality, lead times, and otherconsiderations that support sourcing decisions.
• Supporting purchasing activities by assisting with thenegotiation of supplier pricing and terms, tracking purchaseorders, monitoring delivery schedules and backorders, andhelping maintain accurate procurement records.
• Coordinating material needs by working with projectmanagers and field teams to help ensure required materials areidentified and available when needed.
• Supporting inventory and supply chain processes byassisting with inventory control, maintaining information insystems such as Spectrum and Procore, and contributing toefforts that improve procurement and supply chain processes.

During the 10-week program, you’ll alsohave opportunities to:

• Complete a continuous-improvement project focused on aprocurement or supply-chain process and present your findings tosenior leadership at the end of the internship.
• Participate in Book Club assignments designed tostrengthen leadership and communication skills.
• Learn from experienced professionals through mentorshipand day-to-day collaboration with purchasing managers andproject teams.
• Build your professional network through interaction withsuppliers, vendors, project teams, and other industry professionals.
• Explore supply chain careers while developing practicalexperience with procurement systems, inventory management, costanalysis, logistics, and construction operations.

Pay Range: $19.00–$24.00 per hour*

*This range represents the pay A-C Electric Company reasonablyexpects to offer for this position. Actual pay may vary based onjob-related factors, including relevant experience, skills,education, certifications, and work location.

The general work environment involvessitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, andoccasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Work is conducted primarilyindoors, and noise levels are typically low to medium.
