Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Intern for an internship at our Mission Systems sector in San Diego, CA. The role supports the Navigation, Intelligence and Connectivity division / Global Supply Chain, working with suppliers and internal teams to improve forecasting and data analysis.

The candidate will monitor KPI data, interact with stakeholders, and contribute to business solutions while gaining hands-on experience in global supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• Student enrolled full-time in Fall 2027 for an undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Majoring in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics & Transportation, or related field.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks in Summer 2027.
• U.S. citizenship required to obtain security clearance and program access.

Northrop Grumman is seeking Supply Chain Planning Intern for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Mission Systems sector in San Diego, CA.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Navigation, Intelligence and Connectivity division / Global Supply Chain organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Actively monitor supplier delivery and associated financial performance tracking

• Interface with Business Operations Stakeholders and Tools to pull and analyze Key Performance Indicator data for GSC Division.

• Support functions to provide comprehensive business forecasting.

• Extract, monitor, analyze and validate data and information from multiple sources.

• Ability to interact with different functional stakeholders (i.e. Supplier Quality, Program Office, Engineering, and Operations) to achieve business solutionsPotential project facilitation related to Supply Chain initiatives

Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027

• Be majoring in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics & Transportation, or closely related discipline

• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.

• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

• Should have a general understanding of Supply Chain Management principles

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher

• Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

• Keen interest in Global Supply Chain functional group

• Exposure or experience with Power BI, Tableau and Microsoft Office skills, including Excel formulas, pivot tables and PowerPoint

Intern Pay Range:

Bachelor’s: $19.25 to $34.75 per hour

Master’s: $27.50 to $43.25 per hour
