Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Business Management intern to join the Aeronautics Sector Intern Program in El Segundo/Redondo Beach, CA. The intern will support finance, purchasing, or specific project units while gaining exposure to multiple business functions.

You will participate in a summer program to build competencies across areas such as data gathering, analysis, and reporting, with mentorship and hands-on experiences in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree and graduating after August 2027.
• Majoring in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite.

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Business Management intern to join the Aeronautics Sector Intern Program. This position will be in El Segundo, CA/Redondo Beach, CA.

The selected candidate will perform a variety of duties in support of functional areas such as finance, purchasing, or for a specific project/business/technical unit.

As An Intern, You’ll Participate In a Summer Internship Program To Develop Competencies In a Variety Of Specializations That May Include

• Gather, collect, record, track and be able to verify data and information from multiple sources.
• Compiles, reviews, and analyzes data.
• Able to use software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence, and presentations. May design processes to enhance workflow.
• Provide data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2027.
• Be majoring in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree.
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Preferred Qualifications

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
• Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

Intern Pay Range

• Undergraduate Degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master’s program): $19.25 to $34.75 per hour
• Master’s: $27.50 to $43.25 per hour

At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.

Primary Level Salary Range: $1.00 - $1.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
