Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Supply Chain Intern for its Mission Systems sector in Annapolis, MD. The role involves supporting supplier delivery, forecasting, and data analysis within our Global Supply Chain organization.

Ideal candidates are full-time students in a related field with a GPA around 3.0 or higher, and a strong interest in global supply chain. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student and will be enrolled for Fall 2027.
• Majoring in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Finance, Operations Management, or related discipline.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks in Summer 2027.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance.
• Support forecasting activities across the function.
• Interface with Business Operations Manager to pull and analyze data.
• Coordinate sourcing strategies with internal partners.
• Review bids and place compliant purchase orders.
• Evaluate supplier proposals for order placement.
• Extract, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources.
• Build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive issue resolution.

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Supply Chain Intern for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Mission Systems sector in Annapolis, MD. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Global Supply Chain organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Actively monitor supplier delivery and quality performance tracking
• Actively support functions to provide comprehensive business forecasting.
• Interfaced with Business Operations Manager to pull and analyze data for GSC Division.
• Coordinate with internal partners to develop competitive and non-competitive sourcing strategies.
• Understand and compare bids and proposals and place Purchase Orders
• Understand and evaluate multiple supplier proposals to place compliant purchase orders.
• Extract, monitor, analyze and validate data and information from multiple sources.
• Develop engaging and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal partners / customers to drive problem resolution.

Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027
• Be majoring in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Finance, Operations Management, or closely related discipline
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) << Type additional BQs. Preferred Qualifications

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
• Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
• Keen interest in Global Supply Chain functional group
• Exposure or experience with Power BI, Tableau and Microsoft Office skills, including Excel formulas, pivot tables and PowerPoint.

Intern Pay Range: Bachelor’s: $18.25 to $33.00 per hour Master’s: $26.25 to $41.50 per hour
