Job summary

Textron seeks an entry-level 2027 Supplier Quality Engineer in Augusta, GA. You will analyze data, support supplier quality initiatives, and learn across functions through mentorship and hands-on experience.

This role involves assisting in audits, reviewing design documentation for conformance, and helping drive continuous improvement with metrics like APQP/PPAP, FMEA, and GD&T understanding. Growth opportunities and relocation assistance are available where eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• 0–2 years of experience required.
• Familiarity with ISO-QS9001 quality systems and related tools (APQP, PPAP); GD&T knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to evaluate current processes and identify improvements.
• Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance.
• Participate in internal and supplier quality audits (and external audits).
• Recommend updates to maintain documents and data collection systems.
• Provide technical support to other departments, vendors, and customers.“
• Assist in analyzing supplier data to drive continuous improvement projects.
• Support tracking of monthly metrics such as supplier PPM, corrective actions, and Fair submissions.

Responsibilities:

Analyze data to evaluate current processes and seek and recommend ways to improve processes and product.

Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including supplier quality manuals and company quality records.

Participate in quality audits to include internal quality system and process audits as well as external supplier quality system and process audits.

Recommend updates as needed to maintain the document and data collection systems.

Provide technical support and information to other departments, vendors, and customers as requested to collect data from company metrics, vendor metrics, and quality inspection data.

Assist in analyzing company and supplier data to recommend continuous improvement projects.

Support tracking and reporting of monthly metrics including supplier PPM, corrective action completion, trip reports, nonconforming material dispositions, delinquent PPAP, and Fair submissions.
