Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Dallas, TX is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for a 12-14 week summer program. The intern will collaborate with and learn from experienced engineers within the EOIS line of business, contributing to real projects and gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

This onsite internship offers paid, hands-on work, opportunities for growth, and a culture of teamwork and innovation. U.S. citizenship is required for access to US data systems.

Qualifications

• Intern must be ranked as Junior or Senior in the academic standing.
• Intern must be enrolled in the Electrical Engineering or Computer Science department.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited university and maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA. U.S. Citizenship required for access to US data systems.

• Knowledge and experience with one or more programming languages (C, C++, or C#)
• Experience or classroom knowledge of formal data structure
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work well both as part of a team or as an individual
• Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of software engineers
• Provide regular reporting of progress and status
• Gather and assemble data
• Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of software engineers
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Other duties as assigned
