Job summary

HDR, Inc. invites you to join our Tampa, Florida internship program within the Power sector. You will work with engineers on energy and infrastructure projects and gain hands-on experience in planning, design, analysis, and documentation.

You will participate in field visits and project meetings, using software tools while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop sustainable solutions that matter to communities.

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineers and project teams on a variety of energy and resource-related projects.
  • Assist with planning, design, analysis, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in field visits, site assessments, and project meetings.
  • Use engineering software and technology tools to support project delivery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve real-world infrastructure challenges.
  • Contribute innovative ideas that help improve efficiency, sustainability, and project outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
  • Interest in energy, infrastructure, natural resources, sustainability, or environmental stewardship.
