Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) offers a 12-week summer internship for students pursuing Software or Data Engineering degrees. You’ll work on real world challenges in the utility/energy sector, paired with a mentor, and gain hands-on experience with industry-relevant software and tools.

The hybrid work model requires California residency with some days onsite at an SCE facility. Start May/June 2027 and end August/September 2027, with interviews begin Nov 2026–Mar 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Software or Data Engineering with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• 2.8 GPA or higher (as a minimum standard)

Minimum Qualifications

Additional Information

• This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for aset numberof days with theoptionto work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employeesare required toresidein the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
• The internship has a start date of May/June 2027 and end date of August/September 2027.
• Interview process/selection process will begin at or around November 2026 - March 2027.
