Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) invites you to join a 12-week summer internship to gain hands-on experience in the utility/energy sector. You will be paired with a mentor, work on real-world challenges, and build your professional network through intern events and cross-functional collaboration.

You will develop essential skills while contributing to projects that support cleaner energy and responsible data practices.

Qualifications

• This internship requires pursuing a Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering with a 2.8 GPA or higher.
• Hybrid work mode and CA residency are required unless noted otherwise.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and mentors on real-world projects.

Responsibilities

• Present project outcomes at the annual Intern Expo.

• Demonstrate effective and open communication
• A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering at an accredited institution with a graduation date of December 2027 or later
• 2.8 GPA or higher

Additional Information

• This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for aset numberof days with theoptionto work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employeesare required toresidein the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
• The internship has a start date of May/June 2027 and end date of August/September 2027.
• Interview process/selection process will begin at or around November 2026 - March 2027.
• Transcripts will be verified during the on-boarding process.
• This position requires you to be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
