Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) invites a current Electrical Engineering student to join a 12‑week summer internship, starting May/June 2027 and ending August/September 2027. You will be mentored, work on real-world utility projects, and develop key professional skills while contributing to clean energy initiatives.

You will gain hands-on experience with industry tools, present your work at the intern expo, and build your professional network within a collaborative, inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering at an accredited institution with a graduation date of December 2027 or later
• 2.8 GPA or higher

Additional Information

• This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
• The internship has a start date of May/June 2027 and end date of August/September 2027.
• Interview process/selection process will begin at or around November 2026 - March 2027.
• Transcripts will be verified during the on‑boarding process.
