Join Haleon's Wellness Product Support team and help solve the technical challenges that arise throughout the lifecycle of trusted consumer health products. As part of the Quality, Supply Chain & Procurement (QSCP) Wellness Platform, you will work alongside scientists and technical experts on projects involving formulation improvements, raw material evaluations, laboratory studies, and manufacturing support activities. Through hands-on experience, you will gain exposure to how products are maintained, improved, and supported after they reach the market while helping ensure they continue to meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key responsibilities
  • Design, plan and conduct product development activities, including pre-formulation, formulation, process development/optimization for solid dosage forms such as tablets/powders.
  • Collaborate with multiple functions for excipient or formulation analysis and stability evaluation, as required.
  • Perform characterization studies to evaluate material properties, product performance and quality.
  • Follow laboratory safety, quality, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) while maintaining accurate experimental records.
  • Data analysis and presentation of results.
Qualifications and skills
  • Essential: Pursuing a degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate technical challenges and interpret data.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred: Laboratory experience gained through coursework, research projects, or previous internships.
  • Basic knowledge of formulation development and/or material characterization.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
Eligibility and Program Requirements
  • This internship requires working at the designated location.
  • Candidates requiring relocation are responsible for arranging and funding their own housing, transportation, and relocation needs.
  • Candidate must be able to work full-time (40 hours/ week) Monday-Friday 8am-5pm for 12 weeks.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship in the future.
  • Work authorization documentation will be required during the application process.
  • The position is based in Richmond, requiring an in-office presence of 4-5 days per week.
  • Expected start date: June 2027.
Compensation
  • Freshman: $20.00/hour
  • Sophomore: $22.50/hour
  • Junior: $24.50/hour
  • Senior: $26.00/hour
  • Master's Student (Non-Engineering): $28.00/hour
  • Master's Student (Engineering): $30.00/hour
