First Citizens Bank invites you to join its Wealth Internship, a program designed to apply classroom knowledge in a corporate setting while delivering tangible value to the organization and communities we serve.

As an intern, you will be exposed to Wealth Planning, Portfolio Strategy, Private Banking, and more, with hands-on projects, professional development sessions, and mentorship from a dedicated program manager. Eligible students gain real-world experience in wealth services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience.
• Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution during the program.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the program.

Responsibilities

• Work with a host team to learn about their responsibilities and project work.
• Be part of a high-performing Wealth intern team from across the country.
• Contribute to research, analytics, projects, strategy, and process improvements.
• Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking, and community service events.
• Have a dedicated manager and program manager to guide you through the internship.
• Prepare a final presentation for division leaders sharing accomplishments.

The Wealth Internship at First Citizens Bank is designed to provide an opportunity for you to apply your knowledge in a corporate environment while delivering tangible value to the organization. Our intern program is designed to provide you practical day-to-day experience and exposure to a range of wealth topics, allowing you to not only have an impact but also to really learn about the business.

Interns Will Have Exposure To The Following Areas

• Wealth Planning
• Portfolio Strategy
• First Citizens Investor Services
• Private Banking
• Personal Trust Services
• Institutional Services
• Capital Management Group
• Other wealth support services (strategy, finance, tech, etc)

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with a host team who will guide you in your project work and help you learn about their team and responsibilities.
• Be a part of a team of high-performing motivated Wealth interns from around the country.
• Be part of a dynamic team with meaningful projects.
• Accountabilities could include areas such as research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, content creation, technology enhancements and business support.
• Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking and community service events.
• Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program.
• Prepare a final presentation to be shared with division leaders and other key stakeholders to share your accomplishments and experience during the internship.

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience
• Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program)
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program

Preferred Qualifications

• Juniors pursuing a BA/BS/BBA degree with a focus in Financial courses or other related field of study
• 3.0 minimum GPA
• Strong desire to learn and grow
• Possess a positive attitude, naturally curious and enjoys collaborating with others
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to adapt and adjust priorities based on business needs
