Job summary

Motrex LLC, based just north of Atlanta in Alpharetta, GA, offers a paid Risk Management internship for the 2027 summer program (May–August). The internship requires on-site work, a 40-hour week, and housing/transportation must be arranged by the student. Housing is not provided.

During the internship you will assist with insurance portfolio maintenance, renewal preparations, premium tracking, and coordination with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and audit teams.

Qualifications

• Graduating between December 2027 and May 2029.
• Pursuing a BS in Risk Management or a related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Housing and transportation must be arranged by the student.
• Onsite daily in Alpharetta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance of the company's insurance portfolio, including property, casualty, liability, cyber, and specialized manufacturing-related policies.
• Assist in the preparation of presentation material for the September property renewal, including SOV compilation for every Edison location.
• Assist in tracking and consolidating a response plan to all property loss control recommendations to mitigate risk and reduce annual premium expenditures.
• Assist in applying for pollution and management liability renewal.
• Assist in tracking, consolidating, and reporting all premium renewals against budget and forecast targets.
• Assist in maintaining the payment log for all risk management-related invoices and payments.
• Offer support to other Finance departments as needed, including Accounting, FP&A, and audit.

Motrex's corporate headquarters is located just north of Atlanta in Alpharetta, GA. The internship will begin in May of 2027 and end in August 2027, and will work a 40-hour week with expectations of being on‑site each day; no remote work. This is a paid opportunity; however, housing is not provided, so you must arrange for both housing and transportation.

The Risk Management department is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s comprehensive insurance and risk management strategy. This department ensures that the Company’s assets, operations, and workforce are adequately protected from potential liabilities and losses.
