RCLCO is seeking driven students for a paid Summer 2027 internship with the Real Estate Economics team. You will organize data, analyze trends, build models, and prepare client-ready reports under senior guidance.

Interns gain exposure to market feasibility, development strategy, and client presentations, with monthly compensation of $5,200 and opportunities to contribute to active engagements in Austin, Los Angeles, or Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate students in economics, finance, real estate, urban studies or planning, architecture, human geography, political science, or related field.
• Strong academic record with GPA advised.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; strong research skills.
• Sharp problem-solving and ability to balance quantitative modeling with qualitative judgment.

RCLCO is one of the nation’s most respected real estate consulting firms. Founded in 1967, we provide strategic and analytical guidance to clients across the real estate industry, helping them make informed decisions about development, investment, and long-term strategy. The Real Estate Economics (“REE”) team is RCLCO’s original consulting practice and the foundation on which the firm was built. The REE team combines market, economic, demographic, consumer, and financial analysis with a practical understanding of real estate development to help clients evaluate opportunities and develop strategies for projects, communities, and markets. Our work spans market feasibility, development strategy, financial analysis, long-range economic planning, and consumer research, among other areas. Recent examples include strategic market analysis for Titletown in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin; master-planning work for the Union Printers Home; and economic development consulting for the District of Columbia’s Downtown Action Plan. We are looking for driven, analytically minded students to join the REE team for a paid Summer 2027 internship. Interns contribute to active client engagements, work alongside experienced consultants, and build a practical foundation for a career in real estate.

• Receive competitive compensation for meaningful work. The internship provides monthly compensation of $5,200, less required taxes and withholdings.

What You'll Do

• Conduct primary and secondary economic, demographic, and real estate research
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate key findings and recommendations to clients
• Provide analytical support in client meetings and presentations
• Support business development and intellectual property initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Undergraduate or graduate students who will be entering their final year of study and are pursuing a degree in economics, finance, real estate, urban studies or planning, architecture, human geography, political science, or another related discipline
• A strong academic record (please include GPA for all relevant academic programs)
• Sharp problem-solving instincts; comfortable moving between quantitative modeling and qualitative judgment
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, along with strong research skills
• Excellent written and verbal communicationA professional, self-starting attitude
• Excellent critical thinking abilities
• Interest in building a long-term career in Austin, Los Angeles, or Washington, D.C.
