Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn how Manufacturing Engineers use PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify potential risks, improve quality, and make manufacturing processes better and safer.
You will work with experienced engineers and manufacturing teams to learn how PFMEAs are developed, reviewed, and used to support vehicle launches and current production.
This internship provides an opportunity to see how engineering concepts are applied in a real manufacturing environment. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, learn how manufacturing risks are identified and reduced, and develop technical, analytical, and teamwork skills that can help prepare you for a career in Manufacturing Engineering.

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Technical Center in Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum. Travel to manufacturing plants may be required.
GM will provide a one-time lumpsum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2027 Student Program - to help facilitate administration of relocation benefits, please apply using the permanent address you would move from.
