Waymo LLC is offering an internship focused on software non-determinism diagnostics within the Waymo Driver technology stack. You will design instrumentation and tooling to diagnose nondeterministic behavior in autonomous driving systems.

The role seeks students pursuing a Master’s or PhD in software engineering or related fields, with strong C++ skills and a solid grounding in algorithms, data structures, and debugging. Hybrid onsite internship with strong industry mentorship.

You will:

You have:

• Currently pursuing a Master\'s or PhD in software engineering or a related technical field
• Strong programming skills in C++
• Solid foundation in algorithms, data structures, and systems debugging

We prefer:

• Experience with statistical data analysis, anomaly detection, or tracing tools
• Understanding of common sources of software non-determinism (e.g., concurrency/race conditions, floating-point determinism, etc.)
• Experience with graph execution frameworks

The expected hourly rate for this full-time position is listed below. Interns are also eligible to participate in the Company\'s generous benefits programs, subject to eligibility requirements.

Hourly Masters Pay $70-$70 USD
