Responsibilities

  • Develop communications, newsletters and intranet pages for the customer service intranet site.
  • Synthesize content from diverse groups into clear, engaging copy.
  • Perform copy editing and peer reviews of learning content.
  • Fact-check content within the organization and ensure accuracy and appropriate language.

At a Glance

You're a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university: English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Web Design


This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field.


Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027.


In addition to role-specific projects, you'll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally.

What you can expect in this role

As a Spectrum intern, you'll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.


Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.


This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.


Internship responsibilities may include:

  • Developing communications, newsletters and intranet pages for customer service intranet site
  • Take content from a variety different functional groups across the company to synthesize and produce written content that is simple, easy to understand, and interesting to read
  • Provide copy editing and peer reviews of learning interaction content
  • Perform research within the organization to fact check content accuracy and to provide the most up to date information as well as to fix any grammatical mistakes or potentially libelous material

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor's degree
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mastery of the English language, writing standards and attention to details
  • The ability to write with a passion for the job capable of both informing and engaging employees in their individual roles
  • Demonstrated portfolio of published content, articles or relevant material
  • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively to extract key information to complete assignments and to understand the design team requirements and specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and deliver against multiple assignments to meet deadlines and fast turnaround times
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with writing tools (MS Office, digital editing, web search, databases)
