Job summary

General Motors offers a Finance internship designed to deliver meaningful business impact across core GM finance functions. You will own a strategic project, receive mentorship from leaders, and be exposed to executives while developing skills in financial analysis, Power BI, AI, and storytelling.

You will participate in case competitions, networking events, and leadership forums, with a hybrid work arrangement in Warren, MI.

The Role:

Internship assignments in Operations Finance are designed to be robust and deliver meaningful business impact. Internships provide the opportunity to learn about GM’s core business of designing, building, selling, and servicing vehicles.

Potential assignments include: Sales and Marketing, Product Development, Purchasing & Supply Chain, Customer Care & Aftersales, Financial Planning & Analysis, Manufacturing, GM Energy and Digital Business.

Our Global Finance team plays a critical role in the pursuit of these goals, from helping to optimize our current operations to developing strategies and business plans that will drive our future. We are currently looking for individuals to join our Intern program which will represent the next generation of Finance leaders at General Motors.

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuit of a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in one of the following areas: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields
• Must be graduating between December 2027 and June 2029
• Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week for 12 weeks

• Understand common financial metrics like ROI, NPV, IRR, etc.

• Possess Excel skills

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI, three times per week at a minimum.

GMwill provide aone-time lumpsum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the2026Student Program.
