Job summary

The Hubbell Internship Program offers a 10 to 12‑week opportunity for students to gain corporate experience and understand all areas of our business. The intern will focus on optimizing rod‑clamp designs for Q*Sil Post silicone injection molds using FEA, prototypes, and testing.

You will learn about materials, clamp configurations, and closure‑force control methods to improve mold performance and process consistency while supporting cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
• Basic 3D CAD skills required.

This intern will focus on optimizing rod-clamp designs for Q*Sil Post silicone injection molds through FEA analysis, prototype development, and testing, while evaluating materials, clamp configurations, and closure-force control methods to improve mold performance and process consistency.

• Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred.
• Previous experience in metalworking or machining preferred.

Intern compensation is determined based on academic standing and expected graduation date. Hourly rates for this position range from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour ($46,800–$60,320 annualized equivalent).
