Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is offering an internship program designed to provide students with corporate experience across our business areas. The intern will focus on optimizing rod-clamp designs for Q*Sil Post silicone injection molds, using FEA analysis, prototype development and testing.

The program emphasizes evaluating materials, clamp configurations and closure-force control methods to improve mold performance and process consistency.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree related to the internship (required).
  • Basic 3D CAD skills (required).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Previous experience in metalworking or machining preferred.

The Hubbell Internship Program is a 10 to 12-week program providing students the opportunity to gain corporate experience, learn about all aspects of our business, and prepare students with the kind of experience needed to have a rewarding career at Hubbell.

This intern will focus on optimizing rod-clamp designs for Q*Sil Post silicone injection molds through FEA analysis, prototype development, and testing, while evaluating materials, clamp configurations, and closure-force control methods to improve mold performance and process consistency.

Intern compensation is determined based on academic standing and expected graduation date. Hourly rates for this position range from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour ($46,800–$60,320 annualized equivalent).
