Job summary

Reese Hackman is seeking a motivated Summer 2027 Electrical Engineering and Lighting Design Intern to join our team. You will assist in the design process of electrical building systems under senior engineers and architects, from schematics through construction administration, across diverse building types.

You will gain hands-on experience, contribute to engineering calculations and layouts, and develop technical skills while working in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment with

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Completed coursework in electrical systems, circuit analysis, and CAD software.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC).
  • Experience or interest in BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design process of electrical building systems from schematics through construction administration.
  • Work under experienced engineers and architects on various projects.
  • Contribute to engineering design calculations and layouts.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering and Lighting Design Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. As an intern, you will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and architects on various projects. You will gain hands‑on experience by assisting in the design process of electrical building systems, from schematics through construction administration, on a wide range of building types.
