Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive ergonomics program identifying and mitigating risks across workplace tasks.
  • Integrate ergonomic assessments into existing JSAs and Risk Assessments; establish standardized evaluation methods.
  • Support tracking of corrective actions and measure program effectiveness; analyze trends with EHS and Operations teams.

2027 Summer Intern: EHS - Occupational Ergonomics

The Hubbell Internship Program is a 10 to 12-week program providing students the opportunity to gain corporate experience, learn about all aspects of our business, and prepare students with the kind of experience needed to have a rewarding career at Hubbell.

This intern will focus on developing and implementing a comprehensive ergonomics program that identifies, evaluates, and mitigates ergonomic risks across workplace job tasks. The intern will integrate ergonomic assessments into existing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Risk Assessments, establish standardized evaluation methods, and support the creation of processes for tracking corrective actions and measuring effectiveness. Working closely with EHS and Operations teams, the intern will analyze trends, recommend improvements, and help build a sustainable ergonomics framework that enhances workplace safety, reduces injury risk, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Intern compensation is determined based on academic standing and expected graduation date. Hourly rates for this position range from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour.
