As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for a Data Science Intern to join our team in Northbrook, IL or Chicago, IL.
This role is hybrid - 3 days a week on-site at the Northbrook or Chicago Office.
Responsibilities
- Work with large, complex datasets from multiple enterprise systems to support analytics
- Perform data analysis to identify customer trends and insights using internal and external data sources
- Assist in cleaning, structuring, and standardizing engineering and product-related data (including identifying key engineering terms and attributes from structured and unstructured sources).
- Support the development of dashboards, KPI reporting, and data summaries for leadership decision-making.
- Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to identify industry trends, digital capabilities, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Commercial excellence, Engineering, operations, IT, business transformation) to translate business questions into analytical outputs.
- Document findings clearly and present insights in a structured, business-ready format.

Qualifications
- Rising senior currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in: Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Ability to work with large datasets and structured/unstructured data.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate findings clearly.
- Demonstrates a self‑starter mindset, taking initiative to shape project scopes creatively and drive outcomes independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and extract insights
- Experience with data analysis tools and software (e.g., PBI, SQL, Python, Excel)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Indefinite right to work in the United States

- Total Rewards: The hourly rate for this role is $25.00. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus to assist with housing, travel, and other relocation expenses, subject to terms and conditions.
