Job summary

Charter Communications is offering a paid, full-time 11-week internship for students in Data Science, CS, IT, or related fields. The program runs May 26 through August 6, 2027, with hands-on data projects and professional development activities.

Responsibilities

  • The Data Science Intern supports analytics and AI initiatives by working hands-on with data and models.
  • Write Python with data libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn); query and manipulate large datasets with BigQuery.

What you can expect in this role

As a Spectrum intern, you'll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.

Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross‑functional projects and final presentations.

This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.

Internship responsibilities may include:
  • The Data Science Intern supports the team's analytics and AI initiatives by working hands‑on with data and early‑stage models. In this role, you'll write Python (or a comparable language) using core data libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit‑learn; query and manipulate large datasets using big data tools like BigQuery; prepare and structure data for AI and machine learning applications; and develop basic statistical models to support business decisions. This internship offers exposure to the full data lifecycle - from raw data through model development - alongside experienced data scientists and engineers.
  • Work with Python (or similar language) and relevant data libraries (pandas, scikit, NumPy, etc); Work with big data tools (SE, BigQuery, etc.); Data preparation for AI; Developing basic statistical models

The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive‑based compensation such as bonuses.
