Job summary

First Citizens Bank offers a summer internship program that provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to corporate finance activities in Raleigh, NC. Interns will work on real projects, analyze data, and present findings to management.

Candidates should be enrolled in a degree program (accounting, finance, business or economics), maintain a minimum GPA, and commit to 40 hours per week during the internship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of experience is acceptable.
• Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution during the summer program.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects.
• Accountabilities can include research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support.
• Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking and community service events.
• Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program.
• Be assigned a project, designed to improve a specific process or solve a problem that you will present at the close of the internship.
• Prepare a wrap-up presentation to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders in the company to outline your accomplishments and experience during the internship

Overview

First Citizens Bank offers an exciting summer internship program that provides development opportunities and hands-on work experience while creating a talent pipeline for the Bank. Our interns will apply classroom knowledge in a corporate environment while making a positive impact across the organization and the communities we serve. Corporate Finance

• Financial Analysis - compile and interpret financial data, analyzing data for trends
• Produce relevant insights that help drive business practice
• Reporting - produce reports based on data analysis, company trends, and financial processes
• Effectively communicate the results of financial and data analysisin both written and verbal form
• Process Improvement - help streamline and automatecurrent processes to a more efficient, repeatable process

We are looking for candidates who are within a commutable drivable distance to our Raleigh, NC office.

• Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in: Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics with focuses in: Data Science, Data Analytics
• 3.0 minimum GPA
• Strong desire to learn and grow
