Job summary

Ilmor is offering a Mechanical Engineering Internship in New Hudson, MI. Work with engineering and production teams to design, develop, and improve high‑performance marine engines, applying SolidWorks CAD to model components and refine drawings.

This on‑site internship runs M–F 8:00am–5:00pm, with compensation of $18+ per hour. The program includes hands‑on mentorship and ends August 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of CAD design software, SolidWorks preferred.
• Well organized, self‑motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations.
• High attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong use of MS Office Suite.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at time of application and must not require visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design support and 3D modeling.
• Updating drawings, tolerances, and engineering documentation.
• Prototype builds and production support.

Nuts & Bolts

M - F 8:00am - 5:00pm On‑Site in New Hudson, MI Compensation: $18+/hour Dates: April/May through August, 2027 Status: Temporary (not eligible for benefits) Housing & Transportation: Gas stipend if commute is in excess of 50 miles
