Wolfoods is seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Kitchen Manager for a seasonal contract at rural summer camp facilities across the US. You will oversee day-part prep and production, lead a kitchen team, and ensure allergen safety.

This on-site, live-in role demands high energy and a readiness to work a demanding 6-day, 70-hour week, with room and board provided and travel allowance. You'll champion scratch cooking and quality in a fast-paced camp setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain top sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting
• Client Relations: Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
