Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our on-site summer camp facilities. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure strict allergen safety standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This seasonal, on-site position requires living on-site in a rustic setting and committing to a demanding 6-day/70-hour week, with performance bonuses and room-and-board provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate IPad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain health department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.

Role Summary
